I could have spent a couple of weeks touring the entire country. Time and money, however, forced me to limit my journey. I chose Kyoto for it's historical and cultural significance. Once the imperial capital, Kyoto, is home to many centuries old temples and shrines. The city also has several museums and offers performances in traditional Japanese arts.
